Currently I am inspired by French fashion designer Madeleine Vionnet. Known for her use of the bias cut as well as her Grecian style dresses, Vionnet who at age 11 began her apprenticeship as a seamstress, is one of the most influential fashion designers of the 20th century. Vionnet's dislike of the fashion world allowed her to create innovative and modern pieces that reflected her ideas of female beauty. Unlike many designers of the time, Vionnet opted to not use corsets and created non constricting pieces. She is often referred to as the 'the architect among dressmakers'.
