I'm obsessed with the look of autochrome. For those who don't know (a group I would have been a part of till recently) autochrome is a process for creating color photographs before the advent of color film. To make the images, people would place a matrix of tiny colored starches onto a plate glass in front of the image. The result of an autochrome is not only a wonderful color range, but a stippled, impressionist look that brings to mind the paintings of Serrault. These are a few examples of this gorgeous technique.
