The first half of these photos came from one morning that I took a walk to Lake Champlain while Mariel was getting her hair done. I don't really know if you'd call what I'm doing street photography or whatever, but walking around with a camera is my favorite way to explore spaces. It was cold and windy on that morning, with the number of people present decreased till it got near zero around the lake's edge. The empty space was a perfect atmosphere to really relax and focus on all of the visual features of the area.
The last few are from a walk I took down to the pond behind her house with her father. The sun was setting just over the hill that separates her house from the lake. The fading light was just enough to get in a few shots.
