I've been looking at the work of photographer Neil Krug quite a bit recently. In particular, the vintage look of these photos from his Pulp Art Book really grabbed my attention. The rich saturation in both tone and narrative renders them very... well... pulp-y. The images were created through the use of expired polaroids, and in the medium one can find influence for the form. The images are lifted from the well versed but never quite tired well of aged cinema. The scenes pull influence from what seems to be old horror and sci-fi films, westerns, and more.
Of course, I also see a paralell in the photographer/model relationship, in that they are in a relationship, not unlike Mariel and myself.
