As my collegiate life draws to a close, I begin to feel the size of the "real" world closing in around me. Well... this isn't entirely accurate. It's something I've been preparing for... well.. my whole life, I guess. Really, these past three or so years in New York have (hopefully) prepared me quite a bit. This all means that the quickly approaching working world isn't zooming towards me as fast as it might appear, because I've seen it coming for some time. Still, in times of transition, it is hard to not feel very small.
This all came to mind for me when browsing Carmen Marchena's photos of figures lost in grand landscapes. Their lonesomeness combined with the mass of the space around them cases the humans in the overbearing world around them. See more beautiful photos from Marchena at here.
