KMS California Free Shape

Recently I have been using some products that KMS sent me from their 'Free Shape' line. The shampoo, conditioner, and a product called Quick Blow Dry, which speeds up your blow dry time. For me this line is great because I blow dry my hair every other day or so (bad I know!) and Free Shape is optimized for keeping your hair healthy and more manageable during the heat styling process. The first picture is from after I used the Free Shape line for the first time. It makes my hair feel extremely soft!

PROS:
•Healthy hair!
•Products prime your hair/make your hair more responsive to heat/provides thermal protection/conditions
•Leaves your hair feeling soft throughout the styling process. Including right after you blow dry and are about to use a flat iron.
•The 'Quick Blow Dry' REALLY is quick (this product is amazing)
•It smells great, even after you are done styling, which is one of my favorite things about this line. Jordan even complimented me on it.

CONS:
•none!!!!!

KMS California

Mariel Bennett and Jordan Romanoff @ Dress Me Mag
When Jordan and I got back yesterday there was a package waiting for me. The lovely people from KMS (Goldwell/KMS) sent me a bunch of their new products to try out! This is exciting for me seeing as I am a Goldwell/KMS only girl (I have been a loyal user ever since I first used their products after a serious color correction) and a box full of new products is basically what I dream about at night. I will let you know how it goes!

Thank you so much to KMS!

Washing your hair with Evian

Living in the city and having beautiful hair do not exactly go together, it seems nearly impossible. This is especially true if you are like me and regularly get your hair touched up and have an obsession with having your hair blown out.
I also have an obsession with Moroccan Oil conditioning treatments and swear by Goldwell and KMS shampoos/conditioners/heat protectants... whatever it is I probably have it. Either way, I have taken to washing my hair with cold water, it is freezing and a step below self abuse but it seems to be working.
I think I have taken it to the next level though. After reading: 'My hair tends to get really greasy when I’m in Paris, and my friend there told me, ‘Sometimes we just rinse our hair in Evian.’ I couldn’t believe it, but one day before a big meeting I tried it, and it really did make a big difference.' in the article about Susan Cernek, the Executive Fashion and Beauty editor of Glamour.com on Into The Gloss I decided that it would be worth trying. The water in the city can be harsh especially if you have color treated hair. I do not think that any purple colored shampoo could ever truly protect and fight dullness. It was worth it and I recommend trying it. It is a frivolous once in a while sort of thing and is far from self abuse.
