seagull.

I love the look of these images.  I found them on the photostream of Crystin Mortiz, a German photographer. You can see more of her work on her portfolio site.
When I first saw them I was thinking about how they fit quite neatly into the general style of photographs I post to this blog. If there is anything I got from #IFBCon today it is that it is important to hold your identity and attempt to show your true personality. Now, that probably sounds pretty strange considering the fact that I am not the person who took these photos and therefore they shouldn't necessarily reveal my nature; however, it must be taken into consideration that I am the one who has decided which photos to post and in what order. I am the one typing the context, giving the photos a different meaning as a group rather than they would have had on their own. It is important to realize that the lines of creator-ship are not as concrete as we might like to think. Nobody designs in a bubble. In blogging the adaptation of ideas is more correct in that aside from our personal images it is a museum of found art. Even so, our personal work is not devoid of the influence of others. All of my work is based on my knowledge of art and design history and criticism. With this in mind, I would like to assert that what I'm doing is part of the conversation that is creativity. A sea of imaginations bouncing off of and reacting to one another throughout the course of history.
