Nordic Design from Inside Issue 6

You may recognize that the first picture is from our sixth issue of Dress Me but you may not have noticed the Nordic product design that made this photograph happen! Both the heart shaped tin and stockings are from (as previous mentioned) Maileg. A Designer's Easter

After much consideration, Jordan and I have decided to celebrate Easter (for the hallmark reason), and by celebrate I mean buying these eggs that you are supposed to fill with candy but we kind of ate it. We blame it on the pristine looking, completely organized, all white Swedish candy shop that is down the street from me. It is where we bought these traditional Swedish Easter Eggs (the real ones are in a museum). In all honesty, I think we are just fascinated with the overly ornate decoration that seems to be so opposite to all of the beautiful/designer porn/efficient quality of contemporary Swedish design. 

The owner of the shop told me about how in Sweden they fill the Easter themed containers (which all have these similar looking images on them, the images being based on/the same as the original ones) with regular, non Easter themed candy. I think they are on to something there. 

I still think that egg shaped Reese's taste better. #justsayin
