Faux Leather + Marc by Marc Jacobs = almost Louis Vuitton A/W 2011

Recently I have been extremely into faux leather, not because I think it looks like leather but because it looks like plastic. I guess it is because PVC is a plastic. It is kind of the perfect material for the current weather. It is waterproof, keeps you warm, and it is shiny, which has nothing do with the weather but I love the way it looks. It is also extremely soft. These are all reasons for why buying this faux leather vest from H&M was a good idea.

Warm Fall Days

Mariel Bennett and Jordan Romanoff @ Dress Me MagMariel Bennett and Jordan Romanoff @ Dress Me Mag
Recently it has been strangely warm in the city, I think it may be the last few days of warmth. They seem to come every year after the first few actually cold days. Either way, this period of warmth makes choosing what to wear terribly confusing. I think it is planned, it temporarily allows the Spring/Summer collections to be applicable to our lives so people end up pre-ordering them. This is unfortunately not the case for me, instead I am just confused about sweaters and things like that. Tonight was a little chillier and I was able to wear this turtleneck from H&M that I recently picked up. This is the first turtleneck I have worn in ages, seeing as I have always felt trapped in them and because of that, I have always assumed that only people who want to show off their heads suffer the annoyingness of the garment. That is not the case with this turtleneck though I swear! I wore it with a pair of shorts, I think to even it out, that is some serious fashion math for you. Time to get back to school work, later!

Fall Outfit Inspiration

Even though it remains to still feel kind of like August temperature-wise, I am having a hard time believing that it is not Fall yet. It is time to get on with posting outfit inspiration from the appropriate season. You cannot deny that the jumper in this outfit looks like the definition of soft. Plus matching cream colored nails, black leather pants for an edge and the red/white/blue bag, the stylist for this seriously has it figured out!

Inspiration: Calm, Cool, Grey

Here are some images that sum up some of the things that I am currently inspired by: Acne as a brand, which is so total. Organized, clean, amazing. Of course Twin Peaks, like everyone else in this world, I have been obsessed and continually inspired by it from the start when Jordan and I first watched it. As well as fall and snow. All of those things play into each other in my head.

Sunday Style

Here is my outfit from Sunday when Jordan and I went to some museums. I got the chance to wear my new bag from Cheap Monday for the first time. It holds everything and is comfortable too. If you are looking for the perfect bargin bag that is a tote/shopper then I would look no further. You can get it here. On a different note, it is hot again, which prevents my sweater wearing agenda from going as planned. I figure it is around the time that I should be wearing knits and even possibly a leather jacket. I am starting to think that I pulled out my pairs of Wolford leggings a bit too soon!
