Estate Side Photo Diary
Over the weekend Jordan and I headed up north to estate side. Before we left we decided we would do a shoot so we brought a suitcase with all of the looks, shoes, accessories, cameras, etc. The first night was spent wandering around outside as the sun went down looking for places to shoot. Like most of the time spent outside, this adventure resulted in an outfit shoot. My outfit consisted of a top from Free People, grey shorts, and a pair of a size too big Doc Martins that my Father had put in my room for me. He had texted me to tell me earlier in the week to tell me that he had found them so I was excited to try them on. They are just as big and clunky as I imagined. They are perfect for wandering around outside. The next day we did the shoot. We were lucky enough to be able to shoot with the same model that we shot with last time I went estate side, and the photographer from the previous shoot even shot our last look (you will read about them in the next issue)! Jordan shot the other outfits (and David Biral even took a few shots. We are so lucky!) and everything looks amazing! I am excited to see both shoots in the upcoming issues. A big thanks to everyone who was involved!

100th Post
I am excited to say that it is our 100th post! I have to admit that it came unexpectedly so I do not have anything special to post. Oops!
My outfit post: I find it enjoyable to look at a brand's lookbook after buying an item from one of their collections to see how they styled the garment or what colors they paired it with. Not to copy it but for a point of reference. Although I have seen the T by Alexander Wang lookbook a thousand times, I cannot say I actually have any look memorized. After I had gotten my new skirt I was curious to see how it was styled in the lookbook. Like I said before I never copy a look but after seeing how they styled the skirt I had to try it. Layer on layer on layer on layer (I count the skirt as a layer), literally four layers for Spring! Isn't that marvelous sounding?
Even though I am obsessed with layering (an obsession that started as a necessity form living in the North East) I could not go for all four layers, I do not think I have the attention span for that. Instead I did three. The first is the jersey T by Alexander Wang skirt, then a silk blouse from Equipment, and over that is a light pink knit jumper from Cheap Monday. The shoes are my Jeffrey Campbell 'Mariel' wedges in glitter (worn with black socks).

Kut Out (outfit inspired by Ksubi's film Kolors)
On Sunday Jordan and I went to the Opening Ceremony sample sale. I picked up some white nylon leg wear from the Japanese brand Toga Archives. I am a little obsessed with them (beyond obsessed). They were the perfect touch for my Ksubi inspired outfit.
Top: American Apparel; Pants: Citizens of Humanity; Socks: Toga Archives; Ankle Boots: Steven by Steve Madden;
