Pink dress from Juicy Couture and White J Brand Jeans

Here is my outfit from yesterday. Jordan asked me if I wanted a picture and then snapped it pre-interview. It was kind of an exciting moment for me. Usually I have to get up the courage to ask him to take an outfit pic. It is an everyday sort of thing. I think he expects it... I am beyond thankful.
Either way, I got a nice email from my grandmother today telling me she was proud (an important/proud moment for me). Which reminds me, Mother's Day is on Sunday so do something lovely for your Mum. I am not going to make a collage of beauty products you can get your mum like I have seen a lot of people doing. I do not think my mum would like a bouquet of eye creams, anti-wrinkle creams, perfume, and candles from Diptyque (I think that seems rather mean/why would anyone want someone choosing their beauty products for them?), I think she would prefer a calfskin leopard print iPad case or handbag. I am working on it Mum, I swear!
I promise I will have a more exciting post to show you soon (or at least I plan for it to be).

Dress: Juicy Coture
Jeans: J Brand

Inspiration: pinks, blues, palm trees, clouds, L.A.

Inspiration: Black silhouettes of palm trees against highly saturated pinks or pastel clouds.

I get a completely We Are Handsome vibe from these images, they remind me especially of the WAH LA bathing suit that I love. I also cannot help but to think of Juicy Couture (secretly I love their clothes, they are so feminine and their children's clothing fits me perfectly... I won't lie I have a load of their velour tracksuits. Do not judge!).
I do not know why but it all makes me think of leopard print. It also makes me think of white. Here is the result:
Daytime look
Dress: H&M
Shirt: Gap Kids
Tracksuit top: Juicy Couture
Shoes: Elizabeth and James
Nighttime look
Dress: Juicy Couture
Vest: Bird by Juicy Couture
Leopard print leggings: mine
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell Litas

Thursday

My parents came up on Wednesday so I have not been posting. I did take loads of pictures. Here are pictures from Thursday. One of which shows my lovely new leopard print gentleman's slippers that I have been coveting. It was beautiful out!

Monday

I was beyond excited when I found these red J Brand jeans online at shopbop.com. I had been in search of a red pair of jeans for ages and up until that point I seemed to be out of luck. I had checked everywhere. For months I browsed through greens, pinks, and the occasional yellow at places I would never normally buy jeans (I was très desperate....). I was honestly thinking of maybe giving up the search.
I think I nearly stopped breathing when I found that J Brand, my true all time favorite jeans brand, had them. I ordered them and spent yesterday morning in a state of anxiety waiting for the UPS man. I even sat outside once I saw his truck parked. After a blonde lady in my building told me that sometimes she just chases him down (UPS does not actually like to deliver packages I think... so it is a problem) I decided to do the same.
At last the package was in my hands. I texted a couple of people before opening the white plastic packaging. I needed it to be known that I had the red jeans so everyone would know that they would not have to hear me complain about not having red jeans anymore. Finally I stopped teasing my self and opened the package. I was so excited I slipped them on and in my head started planning outfits.
I wore them monday night on my way back from a shoot. With them I wore a tank top, my leopard print pair of flats, and a bag all from Marc by Marc Jacobs, as well as Jordan's grey A.P.C. jumper and my new blazer from H&M.

Shirt: Zara
Shorts: H&M
Leopard Print Leggings: Betsey Johnson

I love the new Betsey Johnson leggings. I am still making an effort to go with British Vogue's resolution: "2. I will learn basic fashion arithmetic - I won't hand over the £££s until I can visualise the item working with at least three things in my wardrobe." But sometimes incorporating or trying out a new trends for fun means breaking this rule. And despite my fear of poorly made garments that I will probably wear once before storing them away to take up room in my closet, I decided to stop into Zara and H&M. My purchases were both risky decisions but I went for them anyways.
